Production of precision investment castings (by lost wax process).

SIZE RANGE: castings can be produced up to 10 Kgs.

DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE: consistent tolerances can be maintained with a linear accuracy to ± 0.005 in/inch (±0.124 mm/25mm).

SURFACE FINISH: investment casting produces a surface finish superior to that produced by conventional casting processes. For steel it is around 2.5 micro-meters but this varies for other materials. Two finishes are available: shotblast and gritblast.

REDUCED MACHINING: rough machining is eliminated and normal finishing operations need only be carried out on working faces. A reduction in operations, simplifying production control, elimination of swarf and machine scrap, all help to reduce capital costs on tools and equipment.

TOOLING: tool making facilities are available within the group, with a special capability to produce low cost tooling. Technical and design advice is also available.
